The proposed presentation has its genesis in the intention of this institution to respond to a wide range of applications, particularly in the expansion of installed capacity for residents and overhaul services.
To increase the number of residents, the proposal provides a solution that will allow the creation of 24 beds distributed in 14 rooms (10 double and 4 single). A new COA - Center for Occupational Activities, is also created, also for 24 users. As regards the redesign of the services, it is suggested to build a new building which, due to its characteristics and location, will respond not only to the residential units now proposed but also to the existing ones. It is thus suggested that among the existing buildings and in conjunction with the proposed ones, through covered galleries, a building is created where the laundry, the kitchen and the dining room and the living room will operate. This building, besides making more comfortable the relationship between users and common use spaces, allows the release of the current areas that contain this program allowing there and in continuity with the existing, the installation of the new COA space. At present, 60 COA users and 32 residential users work in the existing facilities. It was always an option of this institution to create dispersion in the various areas of intervention, in order to reduce the impact that a large number of users concentrated in the same space could produce. Thus the 32 users in residency work in two units of 16 elements each and the 60 in COA are divided by three autonomous areas. In the proposal presented, which takes into account the generous dimension of the land where it is located, this autonomization is also created, while taking advantage of the use of a set of common services.
It is thus proposed that the new units, either residency or COA, be located autonomously in relation to the remaining building. The residency occupying a new unit created for this purpose, the CAO, reusing through a recasting of the compartmentalization, an area of the existing building. Responses to the level of infrastructures necessary for the operation of these units, such as areas of management and technical area; facilities for staff; lounge and dining area; service areas are given overall in terms of cost rationalization and the use of common synergies. In this perspective a new module is also created where the kitchen and the dining room, the living room and also, in an autonomous space, the laundry will work. All of these areas are proposed in connection with existing and proposed residential units and the existing COA areas and the now proposed.
In the proposal presented, which takes into account the generous dimension of the land where it is located, this autonomization is also created, while taking advantage of the use of a set of common services.
